The full monty

The movie takes place in Sheffield where a steel mill has been shut down and most of the employees have been laid off. The former employees now spends the day at the job club trying to get a job. One of the former steel workers, Gary ”Gaz” cant pay the child support that he needs to since he lost his job. This means that he may lose custody over his child.

One day Gaz and Dave (Gazs best friend) sees a crowd of women lined up outside a club to see the chippendale’s. Gaz gets the idea to form his own stripper show in hope of getting the money he needs to pay child support. He gets four men joins the group. The first one to join the group is Lomper. He works as a security gard at the steel mill where Gaz once worked. Lomper tried to commit suicide but Dave saved him. Dave and Gaz then convinces him to join the group. The next one to join is Gerald who was a former manager at the steel mill. He has been hiding from his wife that hes actually unemployed.

Gaz then holds an open audition to get more members. They settle on Horse and Guy. 

When Gaz then puts up posters he gets approached by women. He promise them that they will be better then the chippendales because they will go full monty.

At one point in the movie Dave drops out because he has some body issues.

Then during a rehearsal a police man passes by and they get arrested. Lomper and Guy are the only ones who escape the police. They run to Lumpers house and end up kissing. When Gerald returns home he gets thrown out of his wife, she find out abut the unemployment.

Gaz then goes to talk to Dave and convinces him to come back. Gaz then learns that the show is sold out. Dave have re-gained his confidence ans joins the rest on stage. Gaz refuses to go out on stage because there are men in the audience. But Nathan later tells him to go on stage. He listens to Nathan and goes on stage. It all ends whit them doing the striptease.

Movie review 

I thought the movie was good. I don't think that I will watch it again, but I defiantly think that it was worth a watch. The movie was funny and I laughed a lot. The movie also had very lovable characters. I also feel for the characters and their struggles. 

Even though this is a comedy it has some moving moments. Like when Gaz gets to know that he may lose the custody over his son. To have these moving moments in the movie makes you get to know the characters more and also love them more.

The characters also feel like real people, unlike in Hollywood where all the actors have stylish clothes and fit bodies.

In a lot of reviews I saw people complaining about the accents. That it was hard to understand them. But even though the accent was sometimes hard to understand I think that its a part of the charm of the movie. 

I did think that some scenes in the movie was to long and got a little bit boring. 

But overall i thought it was a good movie and I would defiantly recommend it to someone that likes comedies.
